CONSTRUCTION BEGINS AT SOLWAYBANK

RES has started constructing Solwaybank Wind Farm, located four kilometres north east of Waterbeck. It will take approximately 18-months to construct the wind farm which will start generating clean, green electricity by the end of 2019.  

The initial work on-site has included felling of commercial forestry to facilitate the construction of the wind farm (see image below).

We have developed a construction plan and central to this is the committment to minimising any impact on our neighbours. Key to this is keeping local residents informed and this website will continue to be updated throughout the construction period.
