W/C 12TH DECEMBER - GROUND INVESTIGATION WORKS

Some ground investigation works will be undertaken during week commencing 12th December 2016 on the public roads in the local area around the Solwaybank site.

These works will involve digging some trial pits at locations where roads may need to be widened or strengthened, and will generally take place on the verge using a small excavator. Traffic management is likely to be required and the ground will be reinstated afterwards.

Each trial pit is likely to take only a few hours to dig (this includes setting up any traffic management), however, there may be several locations where work needs to be undertaken along a particular stretch of road meaning that work may be ongoing in some areas for a day or two.
